What you learnt...You use energy in your home in many different forms. Energy is used to heat homes and for cooking. You also use energy to communicate using mobile phones, to access the internet on computers and watch TV. All of these depend on the transfer of energy in one form or another. You learnt about the different ways energy can be transferred by conduction, convection and radiation and how these transfers are minimised in homes to save energy. You also learnt about how microwaves and infra-red are used in cooking and how these waves along with light and radio waves are used in communication. Finally you learnt about earthquakes and ultraviolet radiation and their risks.
